Questions you might have...

What are the wedding events and what is on?

The wedding itself is on Friday, 17 April 2026. There will be a night-before celebration on Thursday, 16 April 2026 at a location to be confirmed which will just be a casual unstructured event for people to drop in, grab a drink or something to eat and leave. Then, the morning after the wedding, Saturday, 18 April 2026, we will be hosting the Recovery Brunch at 56 Halliday Road, Wanaka. If you are attending the Recovery Brunch, please confirm that with us when you RSVP so we can organise numbers and catering.

What do you mean by black tie?

Boys preferably in bow ties and tuxedos. However, if you don't have a tuxedo and/or don't want to wear one, a black suit and bow tie will work too. Ladies, time to bring out the ball gowns and frocks! No cocktail attire please.
Channeling Bridgerton vibes... but this century...

How do we get to and from the wedding?

Well, are you planning on drinking? If you are, please don't drink and drive as Adam is not admitted to practice law in New Zealand, nor any of the other lawyers attending. Also, Mauro would like to mention that there is a prohibition on 'shop' talk for the lawyers attending!
So, if you are drinking or just don't want to drive, we are organising shuttles to pick up and drop off guests would like a lift. When you RSVP, please indicate if you'd like to take up the offer of the shuttle and we will reach out closer to the day to grab the details of your accommodation, as well as timing for pick up.

How do we get to and from the Recovery Brunch?

This one you'll have to figure out for yourselves! Sorry, we have not organised shuttles for the Recovery Brunch. However, there is parking on-site and Uber works in New Zealand!

What is the dress code for the Recovery Brunch?

Whatever you like that is socially acceptable, temperature appropriate and won't get you arrested for public indecency.

Any other plans for the days around the wedding?

If you're interested on keeping the party going with the Wedding crew, let us know. We are still working some things out but might offer up some group activities for those who are interested, e.g. a wine tour.

Are we able to bring plus ones?

Unfortunately, no. While we would love to have more people join the party, the venue limits our numbers.

Do I need a visa to travel to New Zealand?

If you're an Australian citizen or travelling on Australian travel documentation, you do not need a visa. For those not travelling under those conditions, visit the New Zealand travel website to determine your eligibility to enter.

Am I eligible to drive in New Zealand?

If you have an eligible drivers' licence from your home country, that should be enough. But to be sure, check out New Zelaand's information page about driving in New Zealand.

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

As you know, we love kids, and Mauro is the secret baby whisperer. However, we have decided to make event one which is kid-free.
That said, if you are bringing a bub along and have not organised babysitting, reach out to Adam as one of his close friends has two beautiful daughters studying and living around Queenstown, who work as babysitters and will be happy to assist (for a fee).

What is the plan for the 'Cocktail Hour'?

Well first, its more like a couple of hours... but we will just be hanging around, drinking and getting ready for the party to begin! It will be hosted outdoors, weather permitting.

What is the weather like in April, in Wanaka?

It will be Autumn in April. We are reliably informed that during the days it will be somewhere between 17 and 24 degrees C and can be quite warm in the sun. At nights, it will get cold though, and it can get as low as 3 degrees C. So, it might be worthwhile packing a charming chinchilla or a sexy shawl to fight the nippy weather. Maybe also a Kathmandu puffer depending on your tolerance of the cold.
